Life after sports: Natascha Niemczyk

Share :

After retiring professionally from the sport, many players have experienced a sense of instability as if they have lost their identity when they stop playing. However, there are different ways to reconvert and find other reasons to continue their professional career, without having to leave the sport altogether. This is the case of Natascha Niemczyk, one of our sales representatives in Germany and a professional volleyball player, who tells us about her beginnings at GEFF.

What is your relationship with the sport?

I am a professional athlete, volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Why did you decide to start in the world of sports equipment?

I was looking for a job where I could continue to play my sport, as well as use my contacts in the sports world and my creativity/design skills. Also, as an athlete, I’ve always been interested in practical sportswear and individuality.

Why did you want to do it with GEFF?

GEFF was my supplier in beach volleyball at the time when I was looking for a job and offered me this opportunity and with it a new challenge as well as development possibilities. In addition, the products with sublimation printing and the option of free customizable designs convinced me.

How long have you been with the company? What has this period been like?

I have been part of the GEFF family since the end of 2018 and during this time I have been able to develop as a salesperson while practicing my sport.

What feedback do your customers usually give you?

They love the possibility to freely design their equipment, as well as the personal and fast service.

Are you involved in any other sports activities after retirement?

Well, it’s hard for me to find time for any indoor sport, but I discovered a world of online games with malibu casinos. This is an amazing experience that prioritizes comfort and proposes a wide range of options for players. Plus, no need to leave your own home.
